Delivery Costs
Our delivery charges are based on the weight of the order and the delivery location. If you would like to see a total as you add items please complete your address details after adding the first item. There is no obligation to buy until you complete the order. Charges start from only 93p up to £7.95 for a 25 kg parcel delivered to a UK mainland address (excluding Scottish Highlands) via our non urgent service. Some items will require seperate shipping due to their size or weight and will incur their own shipping charge.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

If you prefer not to enter your card details on line you can contact us after placing you order with your card details or send us a cheque.

Please ensure that your invoice address matches your registered card address. Unmatched details are the most basic signs of an attempted card fraud and will be rejected. These transactions may show on your account as your bank will allocate the money until they receive confirmation that the transaction is void. We also carry out further fraud checks and will reject any transactions that show any possiblity of fraud. We believe this is the best way to protect ourselves from losses which in turn means we can maintain our low prices.

All transactions are processed in £ GBP. If you are shopping from outside the UK place your order and your card provider will convert the transaction to your own currency.

We accept Visa ,MasterCard, AMEX, Switch/Maestro. Items on the website are all held in stock with the exception of some item dispatched direct from the manufacturer. If you do not wish to pay online, you may send your card information via phone, fax or by post.

When paying with Paypal please return to our site to finalise your order. Not doing so may delay processing your order.

If you have made a mistake in your order and cannot correct it in the shopping cart, contact us and we will correct the mistake.

When confirmation of your order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we confirm despatch of your order. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

If you do not receive an order confirmation email shortly after placing an online order please contact us as there may be an error in the information you have supplied.

Wells Poultry sell through several other online platforms. Each platform is treated as a seperate "shop" and has it's own pricing policy, discounts, special offers, promotions, terms and conditions, returns policy etc. This means there may occasionally be variations in price for the same item bought through different outlets. Terms and Conditions may vary between platforms. The terms and conditions published on www.chicken-house.co.uk apply to telephone orders and order placed directly through www.chicken-house.co.uk. Where purchases are made through another outlet the terms and condition relevant to that outlet will be available at the time of placing the order.

Shipping And Handling

We try to keep our shipping as low as possible and aim to charge you the actual shipping cost + packaging + a small handling fee. Our shipping starts at £2+VAT and most orders up to 20 kg should cost £6.80 + VAT. If the shipping cost appear high when you reach the checkout please notify us so we can verify before processing your order.

We ship World Wide but there are limitations. Within Europe we can ship any product but the rest of the world required shipping by air and customs clearance. We will not send any liquid, spray or feed based product as they are likly to be refused by either the carrier or customs.

You can collect from us but we have no "shop" facility so it is easier for us if you place your online and us the "customer collect" option in the shipping country menu. There may still be a handling charge for some large housing orders.

Delivery Schedule

We can ship most items worldwide with the exception of housing and some liquid and feed products. Details of any restrictions etc. can be found with the item description.

Our delivery charges are based on the weight of the order and the delivery location. Our delivery charges start from £2.20 up to £8.08 for a 25kg parcel delivery to a UK mainland address on our non urgent service.

Poultry housing is built to order and an approximate delivery time will be stated on the page.

Some large or expensive items are dispatched direct from the manufacturer to avoid unnecessary carriage charges and keep our prices as low as possible. We'll advise you of the delivery schedule as soon as possible.

We'll send a despatch confirmation email when your order is despatched. This will contain the parcel tracking details so you can follow your orders progress.

For UK deliveries to England, Wales and Lowland Scotland we offer 2 delivery options:

UK "As Soon As Possible" which uses Royalmail Tracked Next Day or Citylink 24 and is normally packed the same day if received before 12pm unless items are out of stock.
UK Non Urgent which uses Royalmail Track 2/3 Day or 2-3day carrier and is normally packed within 72 hours

Orders containing out of stock items will be despatched "ASAP" as soon as stock arrives, ahead of non urgent orders. We do not offer a guarenteed delivery time.

All of these services allow you to specify a drop off location for your items if you'd like them left although items are left at your own risk and we cannot accept any resposiblity for loss of items once left. It will only be left if the deliver agent feels it is safe to do so.
You can also specify an alternative delivery address whilst in the checkout which we recomend for any valuable items.

For items sent to Highland, islands and Off shore UK addresses we offer

Economy which use Royalmail 2nd Class Packet or Parcelforce 48
Standard which uses Royalmail 1st Class Packet or Interlink 2-3 day service


These services no not allow you to specify a drop off location for your items but require a signature. You can specify an alternative delivery address whilst in the checkout.

Rest of the world airmail within 4 weeks
Rest of the world Carrier 4-12 days depending on destination.


Delivery charges are calculated according to weight when you enter your location in the checkout process. For non EU countries VAT will also be removed at this time. Items added to your cart can be removed at any time up to the point where you confirm your payment details.

Please remember that you have a duty to care for your animals and ordering products online may not always be the quickest method of buying.
If your order is very urgent please place it by phone so we can ensure it is processed as quick as possible.!!

You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Reviews
2 weeks after receiving your order we will invite you to leave feedback on the products and our service.
All feedback is reviewed before it is included on the website.
A limited amount of feedback will be included on the main product page and a complete collection of reviews will be accesible from that same page.
We will may not include feedback that we feel is incorrect such as problems arising from installation faults or delivery delays which are beyond oour control.
We will not include feedback we consider negative if it is left anonomously. If you wish to leave anything other than a positive review include the email address you used to place the order so we may verify that you are a genuine customer.

Tax Charges

For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our processors computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

All items are supplied with a 1 year guarentee against faults due to material or manufacture.

This excludes:
A consumable product.
Light Bulbs
Any damaged cause by water/heat/weather or incorrect use

The guarantee is limited to the repairing or replace of the items purchase and the buyer will not pursue any claim for loses or damages resulting from the failure of the said item.

VSBb/VSBbi & accesories Warranty:
All units come with a 3 year warranty for EU purchases and 1 year for other areas. This covers all mechanical and electrical parts but not the cord. AXT electronic are our nominated warrenty agents. In the case of a fault developing within this period it is helpful if you can supply us a set of photos of the inside of the unit and it's general installation as a number of "faults" may be installation problems which can easily be rectified. If we are satisfied that there is possibly a fault with the unit(s) the warrenty agent will arrange for exchange parts to be sent. You may return the unit to us (the retailer), we will then return the unit to the manufacturer for repair. Returning faulty units directly to us will significantley delay their repair and return.

We are happy to provide installation advice but due to the complexity of the unit we are unable to carry out any repairs.

Damaged / missing in transit. Please notify us within 2 days of any items that are missing or broken in transit. As the majority of our products are designed for argicultral we don't accept ciaims for minor cosmetic damge such as scratches or dents unless they affect the safe operation of the equipment or make the item otherwise unusable.

      Returns Policy

      Your rights to return goods are protected under the EU Distance Selling Directive.
      Items made to order, non stock items source at your request and consumable products such as feed and light bulbs are exempt from this.
      Our chicken housing is all made to order.

      You are entitled to cancel your order and return the goods within 7 working days for a full refund, including the cost of delivery. Your refund will be paid within 30 days. This cancellation policy does not affect your rights when we are at fault - for example, if goods are faulty or misdescribed. Goods that are faulty will be replaced or repaired or refunded at our descrection

      Between 7 and 30 day we may, at our descretion, accept returns. Refunds will be for the goods only less a £5 admin charge to cover card processing fees restocking etc.. This also applies to orders returned to us as "not collect" where the delivery agent has attempted delivery.

      If you want to return items returned outside the 7 day free period we can arrange collection within the UK of if required. The charge for this is £12.50/box up to 20kg plus any zonal surcharges that may apply as detailed on www.parcelforce.co.uk This will be deducted from any refund issued. For smaller items it would be cheaper to post items at the post office.

      Any goods returned should be in saleable condition.

      These terms apply to your order. We may change our terms and conditions at any time, so please do not assume that the same terms will apply in the future.

      None of these terms affect your legal rights and these are not diminished in any way. If any term is held to be invalid under any applicable statute or rule of law, that term is automatically omitted from the terms to minimum extent necessary to comply with the law and without affecting the validity or enforceability of the remainder.
